Paul "Moose" Curtis

British street artist Paul Curtis (aka “Moose”) began pioneering his form ‘Green’ or ‘reverse Graffiti’ in 2007. Curtis literally scrubbed his way to fame using giant stencils and high-pressure water hoses to wash reverse images (mostly of trees and nature) onto soiled city surfaces. It did not take long before the aspirant street artist began conquering the cityscapes of London, applying his vigorous selective scrubbing to more prominent walls and bridges.

mein wall hangings

mein's version of potholders on the wall - it is so much fun! I use these creations to encourage my crochet practice.

I mixed ready pieces with new creations. I must admit my doily fixation is rekindled!

anu tuominen

I love everything about anu's works. Her works inspired mieke willem's potholders-on-the-wall idea. Posted here .

Takashi Iwasaki

Japanese artist, Takashi Iwasaki, has such a way with embroidery that evokes gasping and disbelieve.

Find more of his embroidered works here.

Ellen Ito

Ellen is an artist based in Seattle. Her current installation, drawing and soft sculpture work are an exploration of the intellectual and emotional connection between personal aesthetic choices and feelings of comfort and happiness. It certainly gives me a sense of fuzzy warmth.

happy paper cuts turn digital

I was very intrigued with cutting coloured paper many years ago. Recently, I found them and they certainly brought back happy memories. I cut these ones using small pieces of origami colour paper found in Muji and armed myself with a sharp pair of eyebrow trimmers!

It gives me a great sense of satisfaction to convert these paper cutting into digital drawings, because there is such unlimited possibilities in the colour variations!
